The Arizona Junior Fall Classic takes place at the Mariners & Padres Spring Training Complex in Peoria, AZ. This is a wood bat, showcase style event which includes a 4-game guarantee. This is the top fall West Coast showcase for players in the 2025 graduation class. The tournament gathered over 75 different college programs in 2022.

Baseball Northwest selects top players from the region to attend this event, by evaluation throughout the spring season, our summer Prospect Evaluation Camps, at our Northwest Championships in August, and by recommendation by college coaches and professional scouts. This event has benefited many players over the past 25 years who have gone on to play college and professional baseball.

All academic tryout applications are due to AZ Classic Baseball by September 7th.
Baseball Northwest has been attending the AZ Fall Classic since its origination in 1995 and is proud to exclusively represent the Northwest in the event.

Baseball Northwest Black & Green
9/22/23: The AZ Junior Fall Classic kicked off for both Baseball Northwest teams with each playing one game on Friday.
BBNW Black: Day one highlights - Cole Crossley started for Baseball Northwest Black striking out 6 of the 10 hitters he faced. He ran his FB up to 84. The 6'2 LHP worked with a quick tempo and kept hitters off balance. Dominic Daffron threw in relief retiring 10 of 13 hitters. His FB sat 80-82 throughout his outing and he threw an impressive 79% strikes (29 of 34). Offensively Tate Kubena went 1-2 with a 2B and a HBP and Logan Spradling went 1-3 with 2 RBIs. Defensive play of the game was a diving backhand by Keagan Kelly at 3B to rob a Trosky hitter of a possible double.
BBNW Green: Day one highlights - Alvin Chang led the charge for Baseball Northwest Green with a 2-3 showing at the plate, roping two doubles and scoring two runs. Both Dawson Mooney and Hayden Line came in relief and shut down a strong BPA team. Mooney punched out six and gave up zero runs in two relief innings followed by a shut down finish by Line with three punchouts in the final two innnings of the matchup.

A: See official invite sent via email.
A: Please fly into the Phoenix Sky Harbor airport in the late afternoon/evening of Thursday, September 21st. Our first game will be the morning of Friday, September 22nd. Plan to fly out in the afternoon on Sunday, September 24th. Game schedule will be published in early September and can be found on our “schedule” tab or on the AZ Classic Baseball website. A: Parents and players are NOT required to stay at this hotel, but Baseball Northwest will have a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix-Glendale. See “Lodging” tab for more information and to reserve a room.
A: This is a wood-bat only tournament. Please provide your own baseball bats, catcher’s gear, helmets, etc. Baseball Northwest will provide you a hat, dri-fit top and a uniform top. Please bring white baseball pants, black belt and black socks or stirrups.
