Nathan Horstmann

Nathan is a fun loving and an engaging young man who strives to be his very best in all things, including school. He prides himself on his intense work ethic which has helped him to become one of the top middle infielders in Utah. He also has utility at both 3B and in the OF. He has a strong muscular frame that continues to fill out as he matures. Nathan has a competitive nature to him.  As a hitter he is patiently aggressive. He has a powerful inside out swing that is compact and on plane, allowing him to attack all parts of the zone with consistency. As a Freshman, Nathan gradually earned a started role on his Varsity High School team which plays in the most competitive 6A region in the State. He started every State Playoff game while batting .666. His slash line through 64 plate appearances of summer showcase baseball was .431 / .547 / 627. He does a great job seeing and anticipating pitches as evidenced by his low 1.833 BB/K ratio.
