Player Bio
Jacob was a starting pitcher for Skyline's varsity team as a sophomore and junior. This past spring, he pitched 5 scoreless innings in a district play-in game to help propel Skyline to the state tournament (4th place finish). Jacob is the #1 starting pitcher for the Redmond Dudes. He throws all of his pitches for strikes, regardless of the count: fastball (84-86, 88 top), slider (77-80), curveball (74-77), and a developing change-up. He averages 1.5 strikeouts per inning with a 1.01 WHIP. Jacob pitches at a high tempo, he gets ahead early, and he challenges hitters in the zone.
