Baseball Northwest’s ranking of Northwest players is done to highlight the region’s top prospects as evaluated by the Baseball Northwest professional evaluators. Some college and high school coaches and professional scouts are consulted, but the final lists are put together by the Baseball Northwest staff as a whole. The lists do not reflect the opinion of any specific high school, college, or professional organization.
The evaluations are based on the long term potential of a player at the next level - not necessarily the success or stats of a high school player. Players develop at different rates and at different times. The projectability of the player is taken into consideration, including their desire to play and improve, because this has proven to make a difference in their long term development.
Baseball Northwest has a 25+ year history of tracking the top players. While we spend many hours evaluating players and compiling these lists, we are still likely to miss a player that should be considered. Please email us if you would like to recommend a player in any class for consideration. Please also note that we will continue to add or subtract from the list throughout the year, especially after the high school baseball season, the Prospect Evaluation Camps, and the Northwest Championships in August.
These lists are meant to be enjoyed— to promote players and the game of baseball in the Pacific Northwest.

The Watch List is a way to spotlight additional players that have the ability to play at the next level, sorted alphabetically by last name. This is not an extensive list and many more players could be added to these Watch Lists. These lists will continue to be updated throughout the year.
