Player Bio
David Ater is recognized in 2018 by Perfect Game as an Honorable Mention in their listing "2018 PG Preseason Underclassmen All-American Teams". Perfect Game also has him ranked 11th in their listing of the top uncommitted prospects in the state of Washington and 354th in the nation.
David grew up mostly in Colorado. In 2013 he and his family moved to California. In 2016 they moved yet again, this time to Tacoma.
As a high school freshman living in California, David started on the varsity team at Dunn School. He played 22 games and finished with a .347 avg and .418 obp. He played club ball with the Watsonville Aggies and SBG Wahoos.
In Tacoma, David attends Charles Wright Academy. David's club team is NPA Tugs but he also plays regularly throughout the year with GBG Northwest Marucci at major national tournaments.
