Twenty Northwest players were selected in the 2025 MLB first-year player draft, 16 of which were Baseball Northwest alumni.
It was a stellar year for prep players in the region, as Washington native Xavier Neyens went 21st overall out of Mt. Vernon High School, Kruz Schoolcraft (Baseball Northwest alum) also went in the first round, selected by the Padres at No. 25 overall out of Sunset High School in Oregon, and Slater de Brun (Baseball Northwest alum, pictured above) went in Competitive Balance Round A to the Baltimore Orioles with the 37th overall pick, hailing from Summit High School in central Oregon.
"Northwest" is defined as any player who attended high school in Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Montana. A Baseball Northwest alumnus is anyone who participated in a Baseball Northwest event.
