PEC - Boise, ID - June 10-12, 2019
Facility: Borah HS-Wigle Field
Location: Boise, ID
June 10 (2020 grads)
June 11 (2021 grads)
June 12 (2022-2024 grads)
Event Description: Our player evaluation process begins at our specially-designed Prospect Evaluation Camps which take place all over the Northwest during June and July for the grad classes 2020-2024. These camps include a pro-style workout consisting of batting practice, fielding, catching, and pitching; Baseball Athletic Rating testing; and video clips of each individual player.
Why I should attend a Prospect Evaluation Camp: By attending a Prospect Evaluation Camp, a player will receive a player profile on the Baseball Northwest website with their video clips, BAR score, and velocities from the workout uploaded to their profile. These profiles can be sent to college coaches and scouts for recruiting purposes. Attending a Prospect Evaluation Camp allows our qualified BBNW staff to fully evaluate you as a player. Our evaluators are college coaches from all over the Northwest. They are experienced, knowledgeable, enthusiastic men who can provide you honest feedback and an unbiased opinion of you as a player. We encourage players to attend a Prospect Evaluation Camp each summer to record up-to-date video and measurable data so that we can more accurately promote you as a player.
Other events I am eligible for by attending a PEC: By attending a PEC, you are also eligible for invitation to the Northwest Championships which hosts the largest gathering of college recruiters and professional scouts at a Northwest amateur tournament. This event is a weekend showcase tournament of which 600 of the top Northwest athletes compete against each other. Attending a PEC also makes you eligible for an invitation to many other national tournaments of which Baseball Northwest holds the exclusive Northwest bid. This includes the Arizona Fall Classic, Wilson Premier Classic, Perfect Game’s World Series and WWBA World Championship, and Prospect Wire’s North vs South.
Number of positions I can workout at: You are allowed to workout at ONE fielding position. This should be the primary position you train and play in your Spring/Summer season. Players are also allowed to pitch in the workout if wanting to be considered as a pitcher. For example, you can workout at 3B and pitch but cannot workout at 3B and Catcher. We also have an option to workout as a Pitcher Only at a discounted rate. Players who choose to workout as a Pitcher Only will not take batting practice or workout at a position in the field.
What to Bring: Players will be given a Dri-Fit Top. All other equipment should be provided by the player. Wood bats are preferred but aluminum bats are acceptable.
